Meet Sandra Morera, our floor manager at The Charter Oak. Sandra joined our team in June of this year, but is no stranger to working in hospitality. Since earning her degree in Hospitality Management and Food and Beverage, Sandra has put her education to good use, working in hotels and wineries before joining our team.

Explain a typical day for you:

As floor manager, my role includes various tasks. When we open our doors for lunch, brunch or dinner and service begins, I begin coordinating our front of house team. This team has direct interactions with every guest that visits The Charter Oak. To provide the best possible experience I work with our team during service, to meet our high standards and guest expectations. At the end of every evening I perform the closing procedures and assist the management team in shutting down the restaurant.

After a long day at work, how do you relax?

I tend to prefer relaxing with friends and family. Yoga has also been a nice relaxing activity for me to easily do at home after a particularly hectic service. During my free time, I enjoy checking out new restaurants in the Bay Area to see what our inudstry friends are working on.

What is your favorite part of being on the Charter Oak team?

Spending time with the team and growing professionally with them. We are constantly learning from each other and many of us have developed close friendships. We all share a common goal of providing a unique and genuine experience for our guests.
